Waste to Wearables

Sustainable Eyewear Made in Uganda

Stylish, Sustainable Eyewear Meets Job Creation in Uganda

At Wazi Vision, we transform waste into wonder. Through our Waste to Wearables initiative, we repurpose discarded materials such as cow horn, fabric offcuts, and locally grown bamboo into beautifully handcrafted eyewear. Every pair is meticulously designed and crafted in Uganda, empowering local artisans and reducing environmental impact.

We believe fashion should do more than just look good, it should do good. Our process combines traditional craftsmanship with sustainable innovation, proving that ethical design can be bold, beautiful, and beneficial to the planet. For each cow horn frame, a team of up to 7 artisans collaborates, contributing to a positive local economy and reducing waste. Our bamboo is locally sourced, ensuring a sustainable production cycle.

With scale and mass production, we will provide more jobs, especially for women and youth, further empowering local communities and creating lasting economic opportunities.

Do you have old jeans or fabric you’d like to discard? We recycle them into unique, eco-friendly eyewear, giving new life to materials that would otherwise go to waste.

Proudly Made in Africa

Each Wazi cow horn eyewear frame is handcrafted in Uganda, with 70% of the process done by hand and only 30% by machine, preserving traditional African artistry and supporting sustainable local production. Each frame is truly one of a kind, as no two cow horns are ever the same.
